Does WMP 12 present in win7 support scaling movies to an aspect ratio of 4:3 or even 16.9? the reason i'm asking is i installed avira 10 which i cant even seem to update manually. malwarebytes thinking the combo will be great however now i see my clips play slow with winamp which i use to play everything. I can use wmp for vids however cant find anything about aspect ratio in da settings. * +

no it has no scaling functions . use vlc if you want that * +

awww... but wmp 12 looks so good. it does scale some clips to fill the screen when i choose full screen but obviously not all the clips. vlc is great and i have it too but my dislike for it comes from the fact i cant use dfx with it meanwhile with winamp and wmp DFX works great. Don't think i can live without dfx plugin. think i'll make some changes. replace both malwarebytes and avira and have kis instead. if i'm gonna get choppy sound might as well do it having good protection. * +

dfx ? i think srs is much better option . not inbuilt one btw . wmp12 will only play the aspect ratio of the video file * +

yea remember that dfx plugin for winamp.. yes there are others like jammix and others which i have forgotten.. for winamp that is. haven't messed around with wmp much as winamp does all i need it to do. So dfx works great with it in amplifying the sound. i presume srs is just for wmp and not winamp hey *
