ok whats the problem with installation of GOOGLE EARTH on Windows xp? cos my my xp laptop refuses to install any version of google earth. my pc which also runs xp fails on earth install. my mate cant install earth on his xp neither and his mate also cant install it on his xp computer. is this a problem related to xp lol? never had this issue before. * +

when I attempt to install setup reports invalid drive then terminates despite it showing its gonna install on C: as normal. my mates get different error messages but its the same failure to install any version of this product and everything else installs fine. I have no viruses and neither do m,y mates although its curious to note that it runs on my vista laptop without a hitch. * +

I know microsoft hate xp cos its been around too long, but surely this isnt deliberate is it? in the updates? doesnt make any sense I mean why just google earth? oh by the way ive tried downloading earth from alternative sites also, all to no avail. * +

Windows 7 is a great operating system and I Do also have a win7 laptop. But I Prefer to use xp more because it works with everything, uhh accept google earth! But there was never any problems previously with installing earth on xp so why all of a sudden? * +

if you think its the updates,format from original xp cd or corrupt the system,than format,than reinstall without net connected.if it installs fine,than the updates or somethin/someone messed it up * +

Yeah ive tried every way I Can to install it lol as my mates have too short of reinstalling xp. My mate has even messed around with system restore but did no good. Very odd ive never had this b4. I agree, xp is great and well proven which I Choose to use it on my main computer. * +
