do not listen to editor, he surfs the web on a mobile and dosent know the first thing about it.... no antivirus indeed... its a basic requirment. just because that dumbass dosent see he's infected dosent mean he's not. your av shouldnt block ftp accsess the firewall might if its not given exemptions to your browsing software. * +

get a decent antivirus and a decent firewall. avira is small and very good also free. zonealarms firewall will work well enough and is easy to use. * +

as for the Isass or is ir lsass (small L not capital i) they look similar but 1 is the sasser worm and you will need a good av or the sasser worm removal tool. * +

1s your up and running and reasonably clean get malware bytes or a-squared for basic malware protection. i honestly dont get where editor thinks its the av and antispy that slow down his amd 5000 i had the 4600 and ran both without any slowdown. admittedly i had better gfx but still. a decent av and reasonable antimalware wont slow your system down if you have good housekeeping... i guess he dosen * +
