loolz. bios is an programable rom it can be written to and can be infected, why do you think a lot of bioses have rom bios protection, why do you think they dont recoment you update your bios from within windows. * +

as for the chance of it actualy getting infected that is small comapred to the chances of a virus rewiting your boot sectors, most antiviruses will check the bootsector though. so a scan with a decent antivirus like AVIRA, KIS or a dedicated anti rootkit programme will help here... and people dont bother shouting avg avast or any other cr*pware coz there just not up to the job when it comes to * +
