Just wanted to know.. if i got the new kis 2010 or kav 2010 which is better? i read that KIS is better coz it s a complete suite coz it includes KAV within it but how does it fare with free avira as far as detection and use of resources are concerned. Should i rather stick with avira free or go to kav 2010 or get kis 2010? both kis and kav with keys. * +

but with only 1gb of ram wont my pc be slowed down. avira has served me well so far and got no complaints. just wanted to move to something premium and slightly better of which kis or kav is... who has used all 3? and which is lighter on system resources? * +

Use win essentials. Been using it for over 6 months never had a problem or malware and is extremely light * +

eish i'm scared of anything windows.. even disabled windows defender. microsoft should stick to making OS and leave the antivirus arena for other companies * +

and so you should be. windows essentials is poor at best it dosent even get a average rating in the comparatives tests. * +

Yes you read that on sites ive got best experience with it. Been using it 4 six months. Not any malware problems at all or any bugs in it. Best advice test a thing yourself before saying its not up to standard. Leave the hearsay to those sites who tested it for a day * +

but those sites had both the time and resources as well as necessary equipment to do the test and thats why i rely on them. ontop of that user input or opinion also matters... but we deviating from the question. kis or kav or avira... which of those 3 is not the best but uses less resource and is very good.. middle ground thats what i'm looking for. is kis really worth it? is it the best? * +
