No. Youer explainig is ok. I have 3 hdds on my pc. Two are WD 640 gb and one of 1 tb hitachi. The first is h*tachi with 2 partitions, the second is one of the wd and the last is the other wd with 2 partitions . My os is on the last one in c. In my computer c is the first but in bios and also at booting the first is h*tachi. * +

Your os is it on the first partition on that drive? You got alot of I/O there mate. Big disks. Why dont you make the two 640 one by using raid and loading your OS onto it. Then use the 1tb for storage backups saving data and whatever. Your systems performance would improve alot even my good old friend mr mack will agree. Rite Jay? * +

set up a raid array when you install an o.s. but realy your read write speeds should be fine the way you have it setup. so im guessing theres another problem. do you have a good defrag program. a decent 1 will let you place the files where you want em. like ultimate defrag. if you use the auto settings it will let you place your o.s at the front and rars and avis at the back of the drive. hopfully * +
