My windows xp isnt picking up my on board sound card. it doesnt appear in the device manager list. i tried installing and uninstalling drivers and restarting but nothing works. * +

turn off ya comp. take out the card turn on ya comp. let it start up. turn it off and put back in ya card and start up again and see if the found new hardware wizard starts. * +

you need to find the right drivers for your onboard sound either on the web or restore disk * +

failing that look in bios to see if on board has been disabled. Have you just reinstalled windows ? * +
