ok this is gettin annoying now,is there any way to use wildcards with reg delete command in my batch files or any free command line tool that does everythin reg.exe does but supports wildcards and perhaps xcopy alike excludes.what i want to do is REG DELETE HKCR/.* and than reassign the extensions properly.any idea?i ve tried google * +

lol ok dakillar,i perfectly know what i m doing and if i execute say reg delete HKCR/.* /f supposing that a dot is not a wildcard and asterix not a repeating character,ima delete any key at HKEY CLASSES ROOT that starts with a dot meaning every extension,so yeah i think i exactly know what i m doing.i just don t get it why microsoft disabled such feature in reg.exe,while googling,bingin,yahooing,skweezing etc i ve found many other people lackin the same feature * +

wildcards in reg delete can also grately simplify removin some viruses from your system,a big number of tham actually.. OK SO NO WORKAROUND,CAN U THAN DIRECT ME TO SOME COMMAND LINE TOOL THAT CAN DELETE A REG KEY/VALUE USING WILDCARDS?@ALL *
