Anyone own one and what recommends it to you? I am looking favourably at the MacBookAir for its size and portability 13.3 screen. * +

i dont own one but i'd suggest one for my sis and so i would suggest one for you as well. fits in perfectly if you want something stylish that is very light and down want a normal 15 inch screen. i dont know if its price fits in perfectly to ur budget. but based on its looks. thinness, portability and size as well as good battery life its a keeper. * +

I am looking foremost for portability, hence the weight is very important to me. My laptop in everyday use at home is 13.3 and I have not needed anything bigger and dont want anything smaller than 13. Cost is not a problem, as I see it as an investment product. * +

then macbook air is the best. dont think you can get any lighter than that with that screen size. so i would suggest you go for a mac book air. but dont just rely on my opinion. wait for otherz opinionz to hear if they'll say the contrary to what i said * +

i personally feel the air is a little flimsy and not as sturdy as the MBP i wouldn't be too keen on carrying it around a lot, the MBP is heavy but by less than a kg with it you * +

get an extra usb port, firewire port and a disc drive, of course they may not be important to you but i know i couldnt do without a dvd drive and couldnt live with one usb slot YMMV * +

The externals are not important as I will use my vaio at home. The macbook air is only to live in bag back and forth to uni so will be used for wp, internet only. But it has to earn its keep and it has to last. I thought it was aluminium so why is it not as sturdy as the MBP? * +
