ah ok. still beats me why it wouldnt show. i did kinda see how it animates when i opened it with paint... maybe my boot up process somehow does not point to the right bootress.dll file * +

Or maybe you messed it up when you opened it in paint
don't be messing with dynamic link library files aka. .dll files. Lol * +

nah it was messed up before i even opened it. my opening was purely curiosity and to try and find a way to fix it. everything else works fine so i guess i'll leave it be. for now. * +

If you want to use your own boot screen and/or your own logon screen try using tuneup utilities that program rocks

dont s**t about tuneup and windows 7. the 2010 ver is only one compatible and need i explain how really cr*p it is. turbo mode cr*p and its newly added services running in background messing everything up. if i want to make my pc look nice for the eye or tweak it i just use x-setup pro. no services running in background * +

i got progs and ways to get eye candy but i reckon for now i got just enough eye candy even though i cant seem to get some themes to work but thats another problem for another day. @justdgaf... the changing of boot animation is impossible for now. only logon screens can be changed and i changed that the first time i got win7. its the boot image i wanna restore to what its supposed to be. *
