boot in safe mode straight after a normal boot and look in your event logs you will probably find a few apps or drivers have failed to load. * +

Lol he will get lots of error msgs there will he be able to understand it. Pw type msconfig then disable startup programs. Just leave ur av and display driver box ticked. Untick the rest apply and reboot * +

no. not what i was getting at. he can then post the errors he has found between startups. this way we can tell if its a driver issue, a startup item or a service error. theres more to booting than just startup items. * +

for instance: dissabling the startup items dosent fix the problem, it just hides it. this is what i mean about halfassed advice. if ya wana help great. but at least be accurate and give propper help, if not then do us a solid and go back to sports and chat s**t about roonys bald spot. * +
