does it freeze in safe mode? if it doesnt its a driver plain and simple. Leave the powersavings funtions if you want to turn it off turn off speedstep in bios. but your lock ups are driver error. sumthing you installed or a dll running clashing with a other. what software do you have on your pc? a complete list will help * +

sorry emba i had the same problems as alek when i got my i7 and it took a few days to figure out the problems. 1s i sorted hpet and c1 halt i stoped freezing as he will. no driver issues or any other software fail have cause my lockups it was purley down to powersaving features that should work but dont when you use memory faster than 1066 * +

im just wondering, does the c1 halt has to do with the bluescreen i was getting on my pc earlier??? when i ve installed motherboard drivers i didnt installed the motherboard powersaver utility.. as jay.mack suggested.. * +

@ djemba check this post.. --- aleksdks 2.03.10 - 10:07pm @oetinger.. the pc freezes once at day or once at two or three days.. if i try to run it in safe mode i wouldnt understand the error .. only if i use the pc in safe mode everyday! lol * +

only thing left is bios updat and memory timings. but go to gigabyte support first. *
