Having issues with imgburn. the first time i tried windows 7 imgburn 2.5.0.0 which is the latest worked superbly. think i even posted at how fast it was. it was like my drive was reborn or something. But now imgburn dsnt make proper disc. i keep getting errors and now i have a coaster. i love imgburn and i dont want to use another app unless i have to. I got a samsung SH 203D. SATA * +

firstly thank you for replying but i.ve tested with a cd rw and that too fails. i thought it was imageburn so i tried ashampoo 9 and that too couldnt burn anything. right now i want to reinstall win7 and hope that sorts out everything. i had changed my drive to ide from sata in the bios when i installed win7. think that might have anything to do with it. i did change it back tho. even removed SPTD * +

How can you change from sata to ide. If its sata it wil be on a sata channel. On a ide you get primary slave with jumpers. Sata dnt hav that. Do you have virtual drives running? Does your drive pick up in explorer? * +

because changing that setting in bios enables my bios to pick up my sata dvd rom and even boot up dvd's such as the win7 dvd. now i set everything back to how it was and re installed win7. even chose ultimate this time. I also read that sptd is installed when virtual drive progs such as daemon tools or alcohol are installed. after re install of win 7 i noticed something... * +

in device manager my dvd rom is picked up as SH203D SCSI Cd rom and not ATA. i tried burning a cd and it worked. then tried a dvd and that worked too but it took about 14mins. its half of the 30 mins it normally took in xp but since i'll be burning a few more discs will check how it behaves. i'm happy although not content with it *
