My laptop suddenly won't connect to the internet. I've run a diagnosis and it keeps saying 'plug a cable into the network adaptor local area connection. What on earth does this mean? What cable? And whats a network adaptor?

I'm using a wireless router. I've tried absolutely everything its suggested like unplugging the router,unplugging all the leads and turning it off and on and still it won't connect,its driving me nuts

Oh shoot pw using a laptop didnt see it build in wifi or wlan? Go in your browser type your routers adress should be 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2. See if you get its page. * +

is the wifi on your laptop actually turned on....have you checked you havent knocked the switch or anything simple like that first? lol * +
