i'm having issues with pidgin and facebook. I have gotten all the step and i got a username and everything and have even followed teh steps on how to do it but i get an error Unable to find alternative XMPP connection methods after failing to connect directly. and i cant seem to connect. Can anyone help as i want to use pidgin for facebook chat too. Thanx * +

its the only app that intergrated in it. if digsby or some other app had i would use it but unfortunately pidgin is my only choice. * +

Well what i did was install pidgin and download and facebook plugins separately. Are you using any proxies to connect? * +

no i'm not. just using normal cell c sim. but have tried even with sims loaded with airtime. however my old pidgin connects. the new pidgin has the plugin integrated. so its just the settings that one has to set up. *
