They are not really issues but things i noticed. I installed it and all went well and so did the software however even though its full and genuine i dnt get the aero preview instead i get thumbnails when i hover my mouse on the items in the taskbar. The 2nd issue is why does it separate the HD as now i got a separate partition with almost nothing in it. 3rdly teh install takes about 2hrs... * +

is it normal to take so long. installing from a usb which is very fast and formatted as NTFS. I'm however pleased at how fast it is but i want to somehow cut out or delete redundant files to gain maximum space. Any way i can do this? What files should i get rid of. Installed home premium btw. i thought of doing vlite on it however that requires file that i dont have net access to get. WAIK i think * +

so in essence all i wanna do is remove all the ms stuff that is not NB then have all my programs installed before i back it up so that if incase of any failure i can just restore my backup and not have to install and set up everything again. P.S my mobo doesnt support booting from DVD thats why i had to use usb. The usb is cruzer colours 4GB. Pc is a an amd athlon xp 2000+ 1gb ram. Gfx has 128mb * +

nope the install takes about 20 mins on all my previous trys. on this hardware and others. i guess you did sumthing wron in the inital stages like not format or delete old partiton data * +

then again your under spec realy. old hardware isnt supported very well * +

Yup installing takes not more than 20min using dvd. And it should be less in usb. R u sure win7 file inside usb is intact * +

installation took 20min for me....i installed by mounting win 7 iso with the help of xp * +
