hi guys. i'm having this error for second time on this new installed windows www.is.gd/7Y8Zb i had this error and on my previous win 7. can anyone explain it. i ve heard about blue screen of death. lol. i have 2 dvd rom on my pc the are connected with the same power cable. is that causing this error? they are sata devices. * +

from what i can find its a possable thermal event. cause by lack of power to the cpu core. enter bios and load failsafe defaults make sure your qpi link speed is set to x36 and not 48 (f9e bios makes this mistake) 1s done save and reboot. * +

when you have rebooted let windows boot then reboot enter bios again and select optomised defaults. load em up check the qpi again to make sure its set rite and save and quit. reboot as normal. * +

it can be cause in some cases by bad oveclocking, energy saving mode and some other settings in bios being set wrong. basicaly turn your overclock off. turn turbo mode on to standard instead of enhanced and see how it goes. its especialy true if you have the intel cooler installed. * +

its douptfull that 2 devices on the same power cable will cause this problem unless you have a bad psu or underpowerd psu. * +
