yes to your question proton but whether the psu can handle the motherboard phse stepping is another question, if it cant then the pc will randomly lock up and shut down due to the psu not being able to handle the phase switching effectivley... this is now an issue with a lot of the i* series motherboards. * +

intel have recently released a compatability list of psu's go check it out to see if yours is on there. * +

i'll tell him to upgrade psu too. Btw he choose 5670 coz it only needs 65w at full load. Thought that 300 should be just about enough. * +
