lol what xp support? i got xp on my other system and never done a update for it. infact windows updates are disabled coz one patch leads to another and another problem after problem. ms dont have to support anything the pc community can look after themselves like they did with dx 10 and xp issue. windows 7 is anyway still young and its not fully straighten out as it was with vista and xp sp1. * +

@jay i have a laptop wit xp sp3. Its a old machine with dual core 2.0ghz. Havent updated it. When will support for sp3 ends?Should i update it or go for win7 or stay ? * +

its a dual laptop it will run vista and 7 easy just add ram but normally they release them with 2gb ram and vista pre installed and it runs it without any hick ups. you are not getting the full benefit out of the laptop running on xp * +

if yer happy with xp then just get the service pack, as far as i know theres atleast another 6 or more months after the eos for sp2 b4 they stop supporting it totaly. * +

the whole point of the service packs is to consolodate all the previous updates into 1 package. so realy updating to sp3 or what ever is realy the best option. *
