If it was a normal beep then it is not a hardware fault. It s a software problem.most likely a virus.try scanning yr com with another antivirus - Avira or Kaspersky * +

Think its fixed, as went to c: prompt and done restore point and chkdsk and came up with bad cluster and sys file. * +

Was just about to tell you to chkdsk it. Chkdsk also works with blue screens of death. There are only 2 blue screens of death probably works for only one. *
