Am having problems wid my optical drive. It dont recognise sum discs and can write to sum n writes to others but dont recognise em afterwards etc. Pls help. Thanks * +

Iv tried deleting th drive from device manager but stil same problem. I even recovered windows. It does recognise th recovery cds tho. * +

what type of optical drive do you have? post everything thats on the tray exactly as and then post the disk you are using exact as it written on the cover eg rw etc etc * +

wtf has linux got to do with a optical drive and the disk its capable to read. Thats why most sods use linux coz they dont know s**t * +

Hey guys i even tried installing ubuntu in windows and burning discs from linux but same problem. Funny thing is all my original cds like my sony ericsson pc suite and office etc work fine. Its booting from both windows xp cd and a few linux cds dat i hav. * +

Th drive is th standard drive dat comes on th hp compaq nx7300. It was supporting th formats it apparently doesnt support anymore. Most cds dat i wanna view on it wer made on same machine. * +
