hi I want to upgrade my netbook to win7. This netbook does not have an optical drive. I have seen an online tut that explains how to install win7 from a memory stick, when you boot from USB. However the biggest memory stick I can find is only 2gig, the tut suggests 4gig. I have a Nokia N96, does anyone know if this can be used as a flash drive for what I need it for ?? * +

No u cant! I know phones can be used as mass storage but only in the os,i don't think comp will recognize it as a usb storage for booting. The bootin from flash isn't direct * +

Better option, copy paste windows seven setup or iso to your netbook, now u can install thru winxp * +

oh never thought of that, do you mean use something like daemon tools to mount the image ??? * +

U can use ur n96 for that, copy the iso to n96 then transfer to netbook, setup is more than 2 gb.Isn't this method obviously better than installin from n96 * +
