i have sorted the problem now . upgraded the firmware for my blu ray /dvd drive and it worked fine . turns out to be something to do with copy protection , a few other games wouldnt even boot . all sorted now , thanks for all the advice , gona play through this fantastic game again * +

i just find 64bit too much it has too program folders one 32bit and one 64bit just found it too confusing * +
