when i play games like Batman Asylum or any other new games my system gets over powered and has to run harder is this normal? My specs are a pentium 4 3.6Ghz 2GB Ram 1GB HD Raedeon 4670 it seems like it has to work harder. Then normal the poor little thing. * +

maybe its the hyper threading thats faking the system its a dual core processor and having to work harder cause the game is thinking my system is running like a dual core is that it? * +

like the cpu fan and psu fan are working more by speeding up so it seems a tad louder but when just browsing the net it seems fine * +

Well of course. when the machine isnt doing anything, CPU and GPU clocks and voltage are throttled back. as soon as you turn on something that stresses the system like a game then the heat will start pouring off the chips as the volts squeeze through the transistors... * +

yep, and considdering his is practicaly senile in computer tirms, i think its dooing well, you may have given it a new heart and lungs but its still not a teenager any more. * +
