laptop started resetting on me again so i tried to do another reinstall of xp and got the error 'acpi.sys is corrupt' i tried again and got the error 'thefileDMboot.sys is corrupt' so i tried again and then got the message 'the file mfc40.dll was not copied, not valid xp system image' i cant understand all these stupid problems, i always thought was a hard drive problem but a friend thinks. . * +

its a motherboard problem. Also sometime when i have booted it beeps seven times, its beeps twice, stops for a sec then beeps another 5 times. * +

windows seems to be installing fine now but you never know what will happen, took me about 20 attempts yesterday to get in reinstalled. * +
