Hell even Slitaz live CD can mount NTFS partions. anyway just put your windows XP CD and install xp without formating your hard disk.the partition will be repaired and you wont lose any of your data or settings * +

open the repaire console and type fix boot, then type chkdsk /f /r * +

Or go in safe mode and do a sfc scan and schedule a scan disk at nxt boot *
