A mate is having problems installing a t mobile broadband dongle. In device manager there are no usb devices showing at all. could the problem be drivers ?? I even plugged my usb mouse in, which did not work either. thanks * +

try the motherboard manufacturers site. see if theres drivers of a fix there. use cpu-z to get the motherboard make. * +

could be the usb then, but then again when it happened with me the computer at least gave me a warning that the mp3 cable was incompatible with the usb1.0 port...

am i wasting my time if its only usb 1.0 ? It almost certainly is given its age. Or will it just be a tad slower? * +

it should just be slower but then again the device your trying to run may not recognise the pc if its a pre standardised usb port ie, 1.0 and not 1.01 * +
