pc with ide primary master, dvd writer as primary slave and a sata drived set to be a slave when no jumpers are attached. the sata drive only appears when the pc boots but doesnt appear in windows. why??? *

irq conflict. try setting the ide devices to cable select, or maybe the sata drive isnt partitioned *

sata detects master slave by the port its attached to. so it should show up as secondary master or slave, they dont use jumpers to select which. *
