Hey guys i have Asus P5E motherboard. I have 4 gb of kingston 1066 hyperx ram.. Iv tried to add another 4 gig but my pc wont start, wat would be the problem * +

remove the old ram and insert the new in the old slots. if the pc boots you need to go into bios and check the ram setup. it may be the old ram is set manualy while the new ram isnt (ie its slot config is set to auto) if it dosent boot then maybe its damaged * +

If it wnt start remove old stick and insert new ones see if its working * +

and if that dont work remove the bios battery for 30secs then replace it again and see if that helps good luck. * +

no real need if the sytem boots as you can always just load optomized defaults. *
