Im playing games on XP and installed Win7. I want to continue the games on Win7 without having to start all over. Is it possible to transfer the save files to Win7 and how? * +

yes a lot of games just have single file saves. you can just copy and paste em over into the relivant folders. just start the game on the new o.s, save go to that folder and copy the old saves to it. most of the time it will be fine. some games like gta sa will give errors as they save o.s. specific data and sytem data. but most dont to my knowlage. * +

I can run Hawx from the XP istallation folder in Win7 but it doesnt see my saved games. Must i install it on Win7 and copy the saved games? Also i can run Devil May Cry4 in Dx10 and Dx9 from Win7 but the same problem persists * +

you need to copy the save game folders to the windows 7 install normally found in my documents for most games but may be in the game directory * +

be warned for those wondering, if your upgrading to 7 from vista that some games for windows live gamesaves get deleted. Red faction and fallout 3 being 2 of those games * +
