? strange the sata drives should hapily run in ide mode set by bios, mine do, my m8 has an ab9 pro and runs his sata drives ok... is yer bios up to date m8? * +

bios is about 3 year old . The ide Drives appear on second startup page in blue . But the sata will only show on first startup page in white letters and not be found. Could the ntfs format be bad. * +

using acronis true image i was able to clone my harddrive no problems on an abit ip35 pro. * +

yes the disk shows active healthy and has the image . It just wont run as lone system disk * +

ok i've done it using different sata disk. Maybe other was bad or bad format. Thanks for all help and support guys * +

in disk management or any other disk partition software that you have just simply set the new partition as active. * +
