have made image of ide system C disk onto sata F disk . So now how do i set F from active into system disk. Oh the bios on longer picks up the ide disk. Only the sata yet both are in disk management . * +

connect both disk, and CLONE it.. acronis true image or norton ghost comes handy for this job.. included in hiren's boot cd.. once cloned, restart, enter boot menu.. MSI-F11, ASROCK-F11, ASUS-F8, GIGABYTE-F12... chose S-ATA diskto boot from.. once loged in.. delete WINDOWS folder from IDE disk. and then PC will boot automaticly into windows installed on S-ATA disk * +

image with DIXML motherboard is abitpro9. Guess will just unplug ide and see * +

abit AB9pro only has ide or raid or advance host computer interface in ide master. The sata disk is seen in bios harddrives as master 1 but not seen in start up no matter what ide or raid or ahci setting . * +

try disconectin all other drives and copy the image over, then run chkdsk, maybe it will see you need system files and create em for you. * +

i think maybe this board only supports ide and sata arrays and not single sata disks . Even in sata 7 plug * +
