i have a problem regarding my desktop,during start up,i've encountered a message says that a disk read error occured then press ctrl+alt+del,i've tried the recovery console to fix the problem but can't access, 1 :WINDOWS,then i try repairing it using my OS but cant access it also,repair isn't available and partition 1 and 2 are both unknown,i try to format the 1st partition but cant format it using hard or quick format using NTFS,then after that,i reboot it and now detecting IDE drive seems * +

Switch on the smart in bios. Open up the case and listen if you can hear it making clicking sounds * +

delet the primary partition format it run the repaire console and run chkdsk * +

it has a ticking sound,i've run a chkdsk before it became undetectable by the drive,i try a CMOS reset but it is not effective,both my partition are NTFS,is there a way so that I can recover my data in my back up drive? * +
