You'll have to reconfigure grub. . . And possibly your bootsector, depending on what grub, and what bootsector you're using. . . Potential nightmare if it's what I think, as it's happened to me and I still wake up screaming, sorry if I'm completely on the wrong ball * +

Can u explain further about ur grub error? I didn't get what u r sayin about xp ghost installation. Have u removed linux and grub 1st stage is still present? Or grub lost after xp installation? * +

I got linux os on my laptop at first. . somehow I wanna change my os to xp,so I used Ghost to install the win xp. . after the installation,I got grub error. . cant start my win xp * +

If u've got XP install CD, boot into Recovery Console to repair windows, type FIXMBR at the command prompt and then EXIT to reboot. * +

If u wanna dual boot, it's best installing xp 1st. Windows isn't friendly 2 other OS's. U need to install windows before installing linux, otherwise windows wrecks ur MBR. * +
