i bought a new laptop recently, but for some reason when i try to play games like dragon age origins, or even older games such as neverwinter nights 2, after running the game for a few minutes it just switches off! the specs of the laptop are more than the recommended specs to play the game. does anyone know why i am having this problem? * +

specs are: AMD turion x 2 @2.2GHZ, 4G RAM, NVIDIA GEFORCE 9600 MGS 512MB, running windows vista service pack 2. * +

get a copy of speed fan and run it in the backround, also get gpu-z use the sensors tab and chack refresh in backround. now run yer game and after a few mins alt tab out and check the temps coz it sounds like a tempriture issue. if not then look at your event logs in controlpannel/admin tools/eventviewer * +

also make sure ur laptop is on a hard surface like a table to allow good airflow setting it on a bed etc is not good * +

Or.. Get a laptop cooler built in with USB fan connector , works great on mine:) laska do loads , as most peps play on bed n duvet with no airspace n CPU etc cooks!!! *
