Is there any programs thats available for download to recover lost or delete files.. I got recuva but it doesn't work that well.. I need a free ware program thats better then that.. * +

yes but if you have already writen to the partiton then your out of luck, realy it would be a waste of time and effort as nearly every file will be corrupt. * +

No it wnt. Formatting just rewrites the mft which is the index that shows where the file is physically situated. So recovering the old mft with ntfs get data back and replace the new one with it wil restore the drive. If new data was written on the drive several times then some data wil b corrupted * +

it just needs to be written to 1s for the data to be corrupted. especialy if the drive was fragmented. * +

you realy need to be a pro if you want to recover data that has been over writen, it takes specialist hardware and software, im guessing bugme... is onabout what happens when u multi write over files to stop them being recoverd, but thats a high security mesure not normaly required unless you stor banking detals on the hdd, most people 1 overwrite is enough to corrupt the data past recovery. * +
