nvidia have cut down the chip to 448 cores. the clocks are also slower than GTX series. which means its unlikely to be much faster than 5870 and if ATI organise a 5890 it probably wont beat that * +

just remember nvidia use two clocks, the higher one is used by the shader unit and the lower one by the rest of the chip. * +
