the 1090t is similar price to the i7 920 there both 200 pounds so not that expencive... as for 12k its a little below the average nowadays for a gaming setup but it will play gpu bound games well enough but will struggle on cpu bound 1s. also if you want a comparable motherboatrd to my ud5 it will cost you 100+ so really your argument is mute on that 1. price pre clock on intels is better.. * +

even if you think it costs more. same as price per power of nvidia cards is better especialy when you go sli. i recently watched a demo of 4 5870's against 4 gtx 480's and the 5870 got had by nearly 6 seconds on cyrsis bench. pretty suprising that niether setup did the cost of the systems involved justice... so if your happy with what you have then good for you, but please dont cry when i tell you * +

my super pi at stock is a lot less than yours oc'd we are talking half the time here and when i crank it to full meaning i get more power than a stock 1000 cpu i can go sub 10 seconds now thats bang for buck. it may cost more but you get more. * +

even though your cpu is what 50 pounds and the intel i7 is 200 the intel actualy works out cheaper per core for price to power simple maths... your 1 core costs 25 pounds my 1 core costs 50, your core can superpi oc'd 23 or so seconds? mine 9.3 thats over double the speed so even though mine costs x2 yours i get 2.4 times the performance meaning mine is the better value even if it costs more ;). * +

I read that the CEO of AMD has stepped down because the board wants a greater share of the mobile device market . This could be the beginning of the final doom for AMD . i wonder who might buy the charred remains . * +

i5 2500k is only 190 quid. costs the same as the 1090T. Smashes it silly * +
