Here is a thought. May not be original and infact may be dumb but here goes. Is it possible for one to get internet simply by just using the land line. By just rechargin the normal telkom prepaid line, can one hook up the cable to pc and have access to internet. Pc has built in modem. * +

Yeah but u dont wanna use telkom dial up. It wil take like 15minutes 2 load an average web page n u wil b charged telkom call rates. * +

A friend of mine is a telkom tech n he gets an hour free dialup a month n its only good 4 few pages. It wil b far cheaper using cellphone as modem. Its faster n way cheaper. * +

Remember using u phone landline wil charge u 4 time spent n not how much data u use. Dat is crazy wen u gonna only hav a 40kps connection. Wid cellphone as modem u wil get minimum 115kbs n u wil only b charged 4 data n not time. * +

The other way is getting adsl n then u cant use u phone line or pc modem. * +

thanx 4 the input... have always used my moto v360 as modem and from what i saw yesterday its actually not that pricey to chat on facebook. previously i used a wap emulator to open any pages. sjboy is the emulator i use. i.ll think of adsl but will google aerosat too. thanks * +
