Ive recently got a asus eee 4g laptop wich i totaly love after i removed linux and its now running xp the only problem remaining is when iam on 800 *600 resolution i get the scroll efect does anybody know how to tweak this i dnt mind the resolution its just the scrolling moveing desktop part wich i can do without * +

right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, adapter. at the adapter type you should see the name of the adapter its chip type Dac type ect ect ect now if you do see the word UNKNOWN thats your problem install the graphics card driver * +

dont asus have a diff aspect ratio like 16by10 not 16by9 so maybe ur res shud be like 800by680? just a guess lol * +

My problems r over the asus eee laptop whas desined for linux so with xp on it the resolution tends 2 be a problem BUT i found a program on the net astray 47kb that forces the reselotion that i want yipee happy days r here again * +

why dont you just get the gfx drivers for it. it will then run at the propper rez. theres no such thing as a linux specific laptop. there just laptops. go to asus and download the windows drivers. you just go to the support page and put in yer make and model and select the o.s, they didtributed the eee's with both linux and xp so its just a case of look and ye shall find. * +

actualy forget that. i just looked there are no drivers. infact asus dont want you using anything other than linux so they havent released any drivers... hahahahahaha.... * +
