Don't make me bump the Carrick/Fellaini argument. It really doesn't look good.

It was insane how right I was during that, not least of all because I predicted United could buy him, I predicted he would be proven to come up short against even Carrick, and I also predicted you would end up with another United midfield reject and not complain about it!!!!

This was 3 years ago, that is how insanely right I have been! * +

I work near st helen with quite a few United fans. One is obviously biased as he thinks smalling is world class but none of them come close to agreeing that Rafael is as good as Coleman in over a year none of the United fans on here have agreed with, quite a few have agreed with me on here though

When we had this discussion, Rafael had a fantastic season at just 22 and a match for any of Colemans at that position. I'm sure I don't need to clarify that had he stayed fit which was what I said, he would have made it at United. Instead he'll just have to settle for Champions League football elsewhere. * +

No, by my theory Rafael won a bunch of stuff at United, had an excellent season when he was just 22 and fit, then struggled badly for injuries, form and then favour after that season. Shown the door and yet it's still a Champions League side come calling to make him their first choice. Not West Brom or Nantes or whoever * +

I don't know how true it actually is but allegedly United demanded more money because of Di Maria's pictures in Qatar when he shouldn't have been there yet
