The Bundesliga match between Hoffenheim and Leverkusen ended in controversy after a 'ghost goal' was allowed by the referee. Leverkusen's Stephan Keissling headed narrowly wide of the post but the ball slipped through a gap in the side netting and ended up in the back of the net. Leverkusen went on to win the match 2-1 and claimed top spot in the Bundesliga. Hoffenheim are appealing to the German FA and hope to have the match replayed.
