I have been a Barca fan for about 20 years...and I can say I have seen this sort of dependancy on one player like Hristo Stoichkov on the left wing in 1993. Every dog has is day...its not just Barcelona's. However, as much as I would like to comfort myself by blaming the Messi's absence for the humiliation we faced, I know my team does not revolve around one player. Iniesta and Xavi's withdrawal sort of sums up the psychological atmosphere of the squad. * +

Barca have a good first team and a rubbish squad. The defence was suspect before you even take out puyol and mascherano. Xavi ain't getting any younger. Over reliance on one player to perform. * +

people writing off barca who got to the last 4 of the champions league yet are going to champions of spain again, i think Bayern caught them at just the right time and people talking of barca demise are just thick * +

combination of key players not performing/getting old and Bayern being awesome.. it's far too early to say that Barca have had their day or that Bayern are the new standard.. Chelsea winning last year proved that cup competitions don't just go to the best team *
