Wtf is that all about, its not even as popular as football but they don't have footy channel *

It is very popular, but it won't be on Sky. There is a bunch of football channels though individual club ones you can subscribe to sky will provide. F1 is a very expensive big property and there is always plenty of coverage and news in the season so they are making the most of it, it is also probably a contractual obligation or something *

Reason being the team sponsors are around on the understanding F1 is on free to air every country possible to get maximum sponsor exposure. The sponsors pay serious cash to get their names on the cars- in some cases easily more than shirt sponsors of the top premier league clubs. To appease a bunch of them that half the season is now live only on sky chances are Sky agreed to have a full channel dedicated to F1 so the sport is not marginalised against football. Just my theory anyways *
