Same with Russia. The Spaniards recently closed a couple of tax loopholes and so it has jacked it up for new transfers. Spain used to be a lot cheaper for footballer on the top rate of tax but that isn't the case any more, as soon as a new contract is agreed the tax they pay rises as well.
