Despite replacimg Ronaldo and Tevez with Valencia and Owen it increased by 8m the year after - much you reckon owen gets? did ronaldo sign new contracts while at yous? tevez dont think would have been on much more than he got at west ham as it was a 'loan thing' would have thought valencia would have been on an average wage after coming from wigan * +

Can't remember how much our wage bill was but it was around 80 per cent of our income, dangerous! * +

The top four wage bills for the last complete financial year are Chelsea 172.5m at 82pc of turnover, City 133.3m 106pc, United 131.7m 46pc and Arsenal 110m 49pc. The general trend across Europe not just here is for wages to go up. This isn't helped in the UK by some overseas players negotiating net wages meaning the club pays the tax and the top rate is going up. *
