thats not exactly what it was bass, there was a court case decideing whether or not they would have to pay the tax man more than has been currently agreed. its just been announced they have won like bent said. * +

The revenue reckon they are owed 37m but the CVA stated they owed 24m. If the revenue could prove that it was the higher figure, then they would have the power to block the cva which would stop Portsmouth being able to compete in the league and ultimately mean the club would be wound up and reformed in non-league. * +

All the unsecured creditors are only getting 20p for each pound, so they will end up paying the taxman about 5mill out of the 24 that they apparently owe them. * +
