shaun tait has bowled the fastest ball in cricket history in my book. he let a 161.1kph thundrbolt in the last odi he played in england. shoaib akhtar has the fastest ever recorded at 161.3kph at the 2003 wc in sth africa. which everyone knows the air is thinner in sa compared to england, allowing the ball to travel faster throw the air. bias opinion no doubt * +
