Well its particularly useful for x100, x600 n e700 coz a firmware change can allow these phones to send downloaded pics n tones. At times it may add some features n max speed up java a bit however they if you get an unofficial one they'll void your warranty n may as well make your phone unstable *

There could be...samsung doesnt really like to provide firmware upgrades so maybe some unofficial ones are available at some sites. GOOGLE IT *
