Nobody has launched a mobile product with upgradeable ram. Although samsung is considering new TVs with upgradeable components! The tab 2 is underpowered, the previous model, the plus was actually faster with more internal memory and the screen was calibrated better. The only department where the tab 2 betters its older brother is that it has a better speaker. Everything else is a step backwards from the tab plus. * +

It may seem odd that the newer product is of a lesser spec but samsung made cutbacks with the tab 2 so it was able to compete better with budget tablets, but it even fails miserably in that area. Its a tablet to be avoided if your buying new. Underpowered and overpriced. * +

And to be perfectly honest its replacement the tab 3 isnt much better either. Both tab 2 and 3 have slow processors, low resolution screens. In comparison the competition offers HD screens and quad core processors. So poor value. * +

The cheapest 7 inch tab 3 still only has 8gb of storage which is appauling these days. *
